Took me 3 evenings to restore a single vintage wool blazer sleeve lining
I found this 1970s Pendleton blazer at an estate sale near Portland for $15, thought the sleeve lining would be a quick swap. Nope - the original stitching was this weird chain stitch that unraveled faster than I could sew it back, and I had to hand-stitch the whole thing because my machine kept skipping. Has anyone figured out an easier way to deal with old blazer linings that fall apart the second you touch them?

That chain stitch is actually a pain point for a lot of vintage collectors... I kinda think that's half the charm of old Pendletons though, they weren't built for easy repairs later.

My 70s Pendleton needed re-stitching twice already, so I see your point.
