Heads up if you sleeve cards - the penny sleeve trick works better than I thought
I always used those premium sleeves for my deck builders, dropping like $12 a pack. Last week I grabbed a 100 pack of penny sleeves for $3 at my local shop just to try. They fit a bit loose but honestly for casual games like Dominion they protect fine and shuffle way easier. Anyone else make the switch for cheaper games or am I risking card damage long term?

Buddy of mine used penny sleeves for years, never had an issue.

Man I used to be the exact opposite, I thought penny sleeves were garbage and only serious players used the thick ones. But a buddy brought over his copy of 7 Wonders that he'd had in penny sleeves for like 5 years and they were still totally fine. I switched over for my lighter games too and honestly I don't worry about it anymore, the cards just slide better and I don't feel bad tossing a sleeve if it gets dinged. For anything that sees heavy table time but not tournament play it's been solid.
