inCleaned my first hull solo last week in Tampa Bay
Four hours on a 45-footer is crazy fast. I've done that same job in Tampa and thick barnacles on fiberglass are no joke. You must have been going at it with a metal scraper, which is a huge risk for the gel coat. I always start with a plastic putty knife to get the bulk off, then a dedicated fiberglass safe scraper for the stubborn bits. Going that hard can leave some serious scratches.

inCan we talk about the day our town's solar project finally went live?
Simple, clear win" reminds me of that article on public compost bins.

inFinally tried a proper torque wrench on carbon seatposts
Wait, you were just going by feel on carbon before? That's honestly wild to me. I can't imagine putting that much trust in my wrist when the parts are that easy to crush. The cost of a torque wrench is nothing next to replacing a frame.

inRemember when a 'good' cup just meant it wasn't burnt?
Was it a Chemex or a V60 that did it?

inVent: The whole week was a write-off after that custom curved glass job in Brentwood...
But what if you plan for it from the start? I've seen jobs where they ordered the curved glass right after the initial design was approved. It became a known lead time item, not a surprise. The wreckage happens when someone tries to add it late, after everything else is already in motion. That's a materials problem, not a glass problem.
