Spent 45 minutes looking for the scoring pad that was under the rulebook the whole time...

My group was setting up Terraforming Mars and I tore the whole house apart looking for the scoring pad, only to find it wedged between the rulebook and the box insert like it was hiding on purpose. Has anyone else had a game component vanish for way too long?

45 minutes is rough, but did you at least find any other lost treasures while tearing the house apart like I always do when I lose something? It kind of makes you wonder how many other games have secret compartments for key components just waiting to mess with you.

Absolutely, I do that all the time. Last month I lost my car keys for almost an hour, and in the process I found a $20 bill I forgot about, an old gift card that still had like $12 on it, and a really cool lighter I thought I'd lost years ago. Makes me wonder how many games hide important stuff in the weirdest places just to keep us hunting. I swear half the time I'm not even mad anymore, I just get curious about what else I might stumble across. It's like the universe is trying to reward me for being so scatterbrained.
