Just learned a standard brick weighs about 4.5 pounds, and now I get why my wrist hurts after a full day of runs
A guy at the supply yard in Toledo handed me a bathroom scale last Tuesday and had me weigh one, and stacking 500 of them is basically lifting a car all day, so how do you all deal with the wrist and forearm grind, tape, braces, or just suck it up?
Wrist wraps help more than tape for the long hauls, the ones with the thumb loop you can cinch down tight. But the real fix is switching to a bar with a thicker grip or adding fat grips, since a thicker bar makes you hold it more with your palm and less with your fingers. That takes a lot of the load off the forearm tendons. Also try flipping your grip every so often or resting the brick on your forearm instead of dead hanging it, sounds dumb but it saves your wrist by the end of the day.
