Found a 50 cent box of pasta in a gas station in Nebraska
Stopped at a random gas station off I-80 near Grand Island last week. Was grabbing a drink and saw a whole shelf of pasta for 50 cents a box. The brand was some off-label thing called "Golden Prairie" or something. I bought 6 boxes and threw them in my trunk. Cooked one last night and honestly it was fine, not mushy at all. Has anyone else found weird cheap pantry staples in weird places like that?

Buy what you can find cheap, stuff like that freezes fine for months.

Yeah freeze drying isn't the same as regular freezing though, a regular freezer will mess up the texture pretty bad after a few months.
