My neighbor laughed at me for freezing my own chicken stock

She saw me saving veggie scraps and bones in a bag in my freezer and said I was wasting time for pennies. Ever since she dropped $15 on boxed stock last week, she's been quiet though.

Man, that's priceless. A buddy of mine used to get the same crap from his brother until he made a pot of chili with his homemade stock and the brother couldn't stop asking what his "secret ingredient" was. Nothing beats the flavor you can't buy in a box.

Your neighbor probably thought she was being helpful by telling you how to "save time," but now she's the one dropping money on boxed stuff that tastes like salty water.
