A stranger in Lisbon showed me how to get a free city view

I was trying to find the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte but got lost near the castle. An older local man saw my map and said, 'Follow me, I know a better spot that costs nothing.' He led me to a small garden with a perfect view of the river and the city, a place I'd never have found. What's the best free view you've found in a city?

Honestly, that guy was probably just tired of tourists asking for directions to the same spot. Tbh my best free view was in Seattle, from some random office building's public rooftop deck. It was way better than the Space Needle and I just walked in off the street. Felt like I was getting away with something.
