Just realized you can book a flight to Mexico City for under $200 round trip from Texas

I was messing around on Google Flights looking at random dates and saw a deal from Houston for $178. It's a basic economy seat on a Tuesday in October, but still. I always thought international flights were way more expensive. Has anyone else snagged a crazy cheap flight to a cool place by being flexible with dates?

That's a wild deal, makes me want to check flights right now. @ellis.casey I get the hotel problem though, you win on the airfare and lose everywhere else. My luck, I'd get there and a bottle of water would cost twenty bucks. Still, for under two hundred bucks you could just go for a really weird long weekend.

My grocery bill costs more too (which is honestly a sad review of my life). I once found a flight to Iceland for cheap, but then I remembered I can't afford a hotel there.
