Forget the old rules... those airline pricing algorithms are way too smart now. I just set up price alerts on a couple different sites and wait for the drop. Checking at weird hours sometimes works, but mostly it's about being flexible with your dates if you can.

Being flexible with your dates" is the real key. Those algorithms track demand like crazy, so shifting your trip by a day or two can break the pattern. It's the only reliable way to beat the system now.
