Switched from a $70 monthly gym pass to a $20 rec center membership
I was paying for a fancy gym downtown for over a year, mostly for the classes. I finally checked out the city rec center near my apartment and their basic pass is a third of the cost. The classes are just as good, and I'm saving $600 a year. Anyone have other good swaps for cutting monthly bills without losing much?

Check your library for digital perks you might already be paying for elsewhere. A lot of them give free access to streaming services, language apps, and online classes that people forget about. It's a hidden budget cut that doesn't feel like you're losing anything.

My library card got me free access to Kanopy, which has a ton of indie films and documentaries. I dropped my CuriosityStream subscription because of it. They also have Libby for audiobooks, so I canceled my Audible trial. Saved about twenty bucks a month without even trying.

Not everyone has a good library though, @mitchell.daniel.
