Vent: Got hit with a $40 monthly fee I didn't know about on my bank account

I was at my local Chase branch last week getting a cashier's check and the teller mentioned I was paying $40 a month for some premium checking package I never signed up for. I switched to a credit union down the street that same day and now pay zero fees. Has anyone else found hidden charges like this after years at the same bank?

Look at fine print or switch to a credit union like I did.

Nope, don't even bother checking fine print. Just leave. Credit unions are the way to go.
