My daily tracker failed me last Tuesday and I had to rethink everything
I had this really detailed habit tracker going for 3 months, color coded and everything. But last Tuesday I realized I was spending 20 minutes every morning just filling in boxes for stuff I didn't actually care about. So I ripped that whole section out of my notebook and started fresh with just 3 things I actually want to track. Anyone else ever realize their bujo is making them do busywork instead of helping them focus?

What were those 3 things you ended up tracking? I'm asking because I keep adding stuff to my list that feels important but really isn't. Color coding becomes its own little project instead of a tool.

See I gotta play devil's advocate here, because that color coding system becoming its own project? That IS the tool working. You're engaging with your system, refining it, making it actually fit your brain instead of some generic template. I've tracked things like "mood at 3pm" and "how many times I checked my phone before noon" and honestly, having 15 categories with matching highlighter colors taught me way more about my patterns than just three simple ones ever did. You learn different things when you overcomplicate it, you know? Maybe give in to the chaos, let yourself track the dumb little stuff for a month, and see what weird insights pop out.
