Saw a 1 star review that said the toaster was "too good at toasting," so I clicked and now I can't stop reading
I was bored last Tuesday and fell down a rabbit hole on a big retail site reading reviews for a $25 toaster. One guy gave it 1 star and wrote that his bread came out "suspiciously perfect" and he didn't trust it. So I kept scrolling and found another person who gave 1 star because the box arrived with a tiny dent, even though she admitted the toaster worked fine. Then I hit a review that was just the word "NO" in all caps, 12 times, with a photo of the guy's cat sitting on the box. I sat there for 40 minutes laughing at people who clearly never used the product but still felt the need to rate it. Now I check the 1 star reviews FIRST on anything I buy, because they tell me way more than the 5 star ones. What is the weirdest reason you have ever seen somebody slap 1 star on something?
