That $60 electric kettle I bought on a whim now rules my mornings

So I saw this kettle on some random review site last month, all these people raving about how fast it boils. I thought eh, it's $60, what's the worst that could happen? Turned out the thing is a beast. I'm not even a tea person but it's saved me so much time making my instant coffee and oatmeal before heading out. But here's the funny part: the lid popped off yesterday and sprayed water all over my counter because I overfilled it like a dummy. Not the kettle's fault, that was all me. I'm still giving it 5 stars honestly. Has anyone else bought something cheap that just works way better than you expected?

Wait, you mean the lid actually shot off like a rocket? That's wild, I've never had a kettle do that before. Sounds like it's still solid though if you're giving it 5 stars anyway.
