I swore pocket screws were for hacks until a guy in Tulsa showed me his face frames
I've been cutting mortise and tenon joints for 15 years and always figured pocket screws were a shortcut for beginners. Last week a cabinetmaker in Tulsa let me watch him assemble a full set of face frames with his Kreg jig and the joints came out dead tight in about 20 minutes. Is there anyone else here who started out hating a method and ended up using it on certain jobs?
