Miter saw blade walked off mid-cut and dented a customer's countertop

Last Tuesday I was trimming a walnut bookcase in Hudson and the bolt loosened on my 12-inch DeWalt, the blade kicked sideways and left a half-inch ding in the customer's brand new quartz, I offered to patch it but she just laughed and said the scar gives it character, has anyone else had a blade come loose like that on a finish piece?

Yeah, but did she actually mean it, or was she just being polite because you were standing right there? I had a guy say the same thing once and then hit me with a two-star review the next week.
