PSA: Stop using old coax as pull string for fiber drops
Saw a post in another group about some guy using old RG6 to pull fiber through a conduit. Tried it myself last week on a job in Arlington. Snapped halfway through and I had to dig up the whole run. Cost me 3 hours and a ton of swearing. Just get a proper mule tape, it's like 20 bucks.

Watched my buddy Dave try this same thing last month on a run over in Fairfax. He used some old corroded RG6 he had laying around from a previous job and it got about 15 feet in before it just shredded apart inside the conduit. Poor guy spent the next two hours with a fish tape trying to get the broken pieces out, ended up having to cut the conduit open in the middle of some lady's flower bed. She was not happy about the mud and torn up petunias.

Did Dave at least offer to replant the petunias or just leave her with a muddy mess?
