Last month I swore by alcohol cleaning for sensor spots, then a old tech showed me a wet cleaning kit.
He explained that dry swabbing just moves the oil around on my 5D Mark III. Now I do a full wet cleaning before every paid shoot - anyone else notice fewer spots this way?

My buddy Dave wrecked a 24-70mm f/2.8 with a dry swab on his 5D Mark IV last year.

Got an old buddy who swore by dry swabs until last year. He showed up to shoot a wedding with a sensor so oily the whole left side looked hazy, and @samw47 would've laughed seeing him panic with a wet cleaning kit right before the ceremony. Now he does wet before every gig too, says he's never going back to dry after that scare.
