Stumbled on an old Coleman stove at a thrift shop in Flagstaff
Found a beat-up 1950s Coleman two-burner for $12 at a Goodwill up there, and after some elbow grease it cooks better than my brand new one. Has anyone else had luck reviving old gear like that?

That old Coleman stuff just doesn't quit, does it? I found a rusted out 1950s model at a garage sale down in Tucson for like 8 bucks and spent a weekend cleaning it up. Had to replace the old fuel line and clean the generator tube with a piece of wire, but now it fires up on the first pump every time. The metal on those old ones is way thicker than the flimsy stuff they sell now, feels like it could survive a car crash. Honestly I think the secret is just patience and not giving up on it when it looks like junk.
