Took my new sleeping bag to the White Mountains and it saved my trip

I was up near Mount Washington last weekend and the temp dropped way lower than forecast, maybe into the low 20s. My old 40-degree bag would have been useless, but the new Marmot Trestles 15 I just bought kept me warm all night. Anyone have a go-to bag for cold, wet trips like that?

Honestly, I used to think spending money on a good sleeping bag was overkill. But I froze my butt off in a cheap bag on a trip to the Adirondacks last fall and totally changed my tune. My Mountain Hardwear Lamina 20 is my go-to now, it handles damp cold way better than my old one ever did.

Yeah the "froze my butt off" part is too real. I was the same way until a bad night in a cheap bag changed my mind for good. Solid point, @webb.derek.

Man, that's a tough lesson to learn the hard way. @webb.derek, you mentioned the Lamina handles damp cold well, which is huge. What exactly makes it better in those wet conditions, is it the fill or the fabric?
