Warning: compared two riding routes near Vancouver and one was way sketchier
I did a ride from Horseshoe Bay up to Squamish on the highway last Saturday and compared it to the Sea to Sky trail. The highway was faster but I almost got clipped by a truck twice near Lions Bay. The trail took about 45 minutes longer but zero close calls and way better views. Has anyone else tried both and found the same thing?

Did you see how narrow the shoulder gets right after the exit for Lions Bay? That part is straight up terrifying on a road bike.

Right? That blind corner combined with the narrow shoulder is a death trap, did you almost take the highway back just to avoid it or did you just tough it out on the trail?
