I finally asked for a raise after 2 years and my boss just stared at me

I went into the Monday meeting at our Denver office with a whole list of wins from the past year and asked for 8k more, and my boss just sat there quiet for what felt like a full minute flipping through his notes. He ended up saying he would "look into it" and now it has been 3 weeks with zero word, so I still do not know where I stand. How long do you wait before you bring it up again without looking pushy?
