Farm market sharpeners are the worst, always taking off way too much metal.

and honestly this is why I'm too scared to let anyone touch my good knives. I got a Wusthof a few years back and I just use a $20 pull through sharpener from Amazon. yeah yeah I know the knife snobs say it ruins the blade over time but at least I'm not out $40 and a ruined knife. my buddy let some random guy at a farmers market sharpen his global and the guy took off way too much metal it looked all bent and weird after.
