Bought a $40 smart plug to cut phantom power, now my bill dropped $18 a month
I put three of them on my TV, desktop, and speakers, all stuff that was always on standby. Tracked the smart plug app for six weeks, it showed about 12 kilowatt hours saved each month. Anyone else seen real savings from these or was it just luck on my end?

12 kilowatt hours saved each month" sounds about right for my setup too, honestly. I put one on my router and one on the cable box, and that little change made me start noticing all the other tiny energy sinks around the house.
