My neighbor's solar panels made me rethink my whole energy setup

My neighbor across the street just got 16 panels installed last month on his ranch house in Phoenix. He told me his electric bill went from $210 to $28 in July. That's the hottest month here. I've been putting off looking into solar for 3 years because I thought it was too expensive. But he showed me the numbers and the federal tax credit covers 30% now. Has anyone else here made the switch after seeing a neighbor's setup? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it for my house that faces east.

Yeah I was totally skeptical too but those numbers are hard to argue with.
