I finally stopped preheating my air fryer and got better results

My last three cold start chickens turned out dryer than the one I did straight from the fridge. I think it's more about how long you let it sit before cooking than the starting temp. But hey, if it works for you I'm not gonna argue with juicy chicken.

Unpopular opinion: letting paint cure for a week before buffing is overrated for production work

Oh man, I bet this person has never had to redo a job because the paint shifted on them the next day lol. Good luck with that production speed when you're fixing the same panel twice!

Remember when book club fights were about the book?

That's actually genius, makes them put their money where their mouth is.

I finally learned my lesson about renting excavators without checking attachments first

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too when you said "not really close enough for a buddy to just bring an attachment over." @rivera.simon I mean 45 minutes is nothing on a highway if you plan ahead, but it's not like they can just pop over after work on a Tuesday. Plus you gotta factor in traffic around Calgary, that deerfoot trail can turn a 45 minute drive into an hour and a half real quick if you hit it at the wrong time. So unless your buddy is already heading that way for something else, it's way easier to just rent the attachment locally or have it delivered.

Appreciation post for the old timer who pointed out I was sanding with the grain all wrong for 10 years

Bet your client's desk is about to look way better" - is it though? I mean, if he spent 10 years doing it wrong and nobody noticed enough to say anything, maybe the difference isn't that huge. I've seen people go crazy over grain direction and honestly half the time you can't even tell once the finish goes on. Some of my favorite pieces have weird scratch patterns from me being careless and they still look fine after a coat of poly. Unless this guy was sanding sideways or something, I doubt the desk was gonna self destruct over some minor grain scratches.
