Serious question, has anyone else seen a creek come back to life?

I moved to a house near a dried up creek in Portland 5 years ago, and after a neighborhood group planted native bushes and reduced runoff, it started flowing again this spring. The water is clear now and I've even seen minnows and frogs where there used to be just cracked mud. Did something similar happen near you, and if so, what do you think made the biggest difference?

See I kinda feel the opposite. Calling it a miracle makes sense to me. That creek was dead for years, and now there's actual life in it. That's not just normal stuff happening, that's people doing something right and nature bouncing back hard.

Oh man, I don't know if I'd call it "coming back to life" like it's some big miracle. I mean it's cool that you got some minnows and stuff, but isn't that just what happens when you stop pouring concrete crap into a ditch?
