Tried single flute end mills for aluminum and ate through chips way faster

I always ran two flute end mills for aluminum on my Haas VF-2. Buddy at the shop swore by single flute for chip evacuation. Finally tried one last Thursday on a batch of 6061 brackets. The difference in chip clearing was night and day, no more recutting chips jamming up the flutes. Has anyone else found a tool geometry that changed their approach to a specific material?

Nah, I had nothing but trouble with single flute end mills in 6061.

Different strokes I guess but single flute just created chatter marks on mine.
