Heard someone say breakpoints are about content, not screens
I was waiting for my coffee at a shop in Portland last Tuesday and overheard a dev telling a friend, "don't design for the phone, design for the text." That stuck with me because I've been obsessing over device widths every time I build a simple page. Then I realized my paragraphs were breaking at awkward spots way before any screen size issue. So I started setting breakpoints where my longest line of text gets hard to read, and it made way more sense. Has anyone else stopped using preset device widths and just moved things when they look cramped?

Breakpoints should follow your eyes, not your screen specs.
