Am I the only one who gets annoyed when people call every superhero movie a comic book movie?
I was at a party and someone said they loved 'comic book movies' but only named stuff from the MCU and DCEU. It matters because it ignores the direct adaptations of actual graphic novels and indie books. Has anyone else had this conversation?

Ugh, that drives me nuts too. It's like calling every TV show a 'sitcom' because you only watch multi-camera laugh track stuff. There's a huge difference between a big superhero team-up and something like 'A History of Violence' or 'Ghost World'. Calling them all the same thing just flattens the whole medium.
