Question about using a razor on curly hair

A new client came in yesterday with a weird, choppy shape, and she said her last stylist used a razor to thin it out. I see this a lot, and it always wrecks the curl pattern. How do you explain to clients why this is a bad idea without trashing the other stylist?

My new Estwing rock hammer was totally worth the $45

I was trying to split a stubborn piece of granite from a local creek bed last weekend and my old hardware store hammer just bounced off. Finally got the sleeve drape right on a jacket I've been messing with for months

Okay, so about three years back, I saw this old motorcycle jacket in a thrift store in Cleveland. The shape was cool but the sleeves were like stiff tubes. I bought it for ten bucks thinking I could fix it. I tried a bunch of stuff, but it always looked wrong, like a bad costume. Last month, I found this really light wool blend fabric on sale and decided to try one more time. I cut the old sleeves off completely and spent a whole week just pinning and re-pinning the new ones, letting them hang on a dress form. The trick was cutting the armhole way bigger than I thought and using a single seam down the back of the arm instead of the usual two. It finally moves right and doesn't bunch up at the shoulder. Has anyone else tried reworking a jacket sleeve from scratch and found a better way to set it in?

My model crashed during a demo for a client in Denver

Honestly, I was showing off a new image generator I'd trained when it just froze on a weird, glitched output. We were in their conference room and the screen went totally blank for like 30 seconds. I had to quickly reboot the local server and switch to a backup, simpler version I had on my laptop. Has anyone else had a live demo go sideways and found a good quick fix that doesn't look panicked?
