Had a kid at the LCS school me on a 30 year old comic run today
I was grabbing some back issues at my local shop in Nashville and this teenager started talking about the original Secret Wars run like he was there when it dropped. He corrected my whole understanding of how the Beyonder's power worked between issues. Has anyone else had a young fan drop some serious knowledge on them out of nowhere?

Yeah I used to think old school fans had all the authority on silver age stuff but honestly kids who actually read the whole run front to back instead of just remembering what they read thirty years ago might have a point. That Beyonder power scaling thing is a solid catch.

Nah I gotta disagree with @rowanbennett on this one. Reading a run front to back in 2025 with wikis and retrospectives doesn't give you the same context as living through it panel by panel. The Beyonder thing is a known retcon by later writers, not some secret the old heads missed. Kids can memorize power levels but they don't get the publishing chaos behind why things shifted mid-run. That teenager was probably parroting a YouTube video anyway.
