Had to pick between a mint condition Amazing Fantasy 15 reprint or a beat up original X-Men 94 for my collection, went with the reprint.

Take the reprint every time, never regretted choosing clean copies over beaters.

Man, that's a tough call, isn't it? I get wanting that clean, perfect book to look at on the shelf. Sometimes you just want to enjoy the art and story without worrying about the condition. An original 94 is the dream, but a beat-up copy can feel like it's just waiting for an upgrade. You picked the one that makes you happy to own right now, and that's what matters.

So what's the tipping point for you on condition versus price? Like, would you ever grab a really rough copy of a key issue just to have it, or do you always save up for the nicer version?
