I finally took my buddy's advice about floppy comics and stopped being a jabroni
My buddy Dave who's been collecting since the 80s told me last year to stop bagging my floppies with those cheap mylar bags and just go with the standard bags and boards, said the expensive ones were a waste for what I read. I fought him on it for like 6 months, spent about 80 bucks on the fancy UV resistant stuff for my pull list every week, and you know what? My comics downstairs in the basement are fine either way, no fading, no nothing. Then last month I dropped a whole longbox on my foot and the only thing that saved the corners was the boards, not the bags. So now I just buy the 100 pack of regular bags for 12 bucks at the shop in Portland and use the extra cash for more back issues, anyone else find that the pricey storage gear is mostly a racket?
