Had a client's server in a law office go down because of a bad RAM module. Took me 3 hours to isolate it in a 4-node cluster.

Been there. I just start pulling sticks one by one.

My old boss at the print shop would just grab the whole bundle and shake it hard. I always thought that was the fastest way until I jammed a machine for the third time. Watching him fix it made me realize pulling them one by one is actually less work in the end. Now I'm a total convert to the slow method.
