Just got hit with a fake support call scam that almost worked
Last week, a guy claiming to be from 'Microsoft Security' called my shop in Austin, said our business account was flagged. He knew my name and the shop address, which threw me off for a second. Anyone else getting these more targeted calls lately?

Yeah, the "knowing your name and address" part is the new scary bit. I almost fell for one last month because the guy had my old home address from like 2015. Felt like a real idiot after I hung up, lol.

That "old home address" trick is a classic move because it feels so personal. I just tell myself now that if they're really from my bank, they'll know my current address on file. It shuts down that doubt pretty fast.
