Hit 300 square feet in 45 minutes on a driveway pour last Thursday

I was working a big residential driveway in Phoenix and decided to time myself on the finish. Started my stopwatch when the last truck dumped and had 300 square feet floated, edged, and broomed in 45 minutes flat. That's about 30% faster than my usual pace, and it was because I switched to a Mag float instead of my normal wood one. Has anyone else noticed a big jump in speed from changing just one tool?

Hold up. "Switched to a Mag float" and gained 30%? That's wild. I've been using wood my whole career and always figured it was just personal preference. I mean, I know Mag is slicker on the pull but 30% faster sounds almost too good. What brand you running?

You tried the Mag Float brand too, right? I got the same bump switching over from wood last year.
