Don't fall for the 'free energy' device scams like I did
I lost $200 on a home 'overunity' generator kit from a site that looked legit. They claimed it could power a small lamp off a battery and keep itself running. After 3 hours of wiring it up, the thing just smoked and died. Turns out the 'coils' were just cheap wire wrapped around a plastic tube. Has anyone else gotten burned by these fake tech products online?

Yeah I had a buddy who dropped like $400 on one of those "magnetic motor" plans. Said it would run a fan forever with no power source. He spent a weekend in his garage building it from parts he bought off eBay. The thing made a weird humming noise and the magnet kept slipping off the rotor. He tried to sell it on Craigslist as a "experimental prototype" to get his money back. Nobody bit. Meanwhile his wife was pissed about the smell of burnt copper in the house for a week.
