Why does everyone keep skipping the cell tower audit before buying?
I was helping a buddy in Phoenix set up his new place, and he swore his dead zones were just bad luck, but we pulled the county tower maps and he was sitting between two towers with a 3G-only gap. He'd paid $80 for a signal booster off eBay that did nothing, and half the neighborhood forums keep pushing repeaters as the fix. Am I the only one who checks the actual tower data before dropping money on gadgets?
