My cousin in Tampa told me to charge more for a blowout and I lost a client
She runs a salon down there and kept pushing me to bump my blowout from $35 to $50, saying I was leaving money on the table. I did it and my regular of 3 years just texted me she's going somewhere cheaper, so now I'm wondering if the price hike was worth it. Any of you deal with a client walking over a raise, or did I just handle it wrong?
Price stuff is so weird because my barber did the exact opposite last year and dropped his cut from 30 to 25 and now he's booked solid every single day. Sometimes going cheaper pulls in way more people and you end up ahead anyway. Losing that one hurts but you might get two new ones who don't blink at 50.
