My curling iron literally snapped in half mid-style yesterday
I was doing a blowout for a 3pm appointment and the barrel just cracked at the hinge. Had to finish with a flat iron and it took an extra 20 minutes. Anyone know a brand that can actually handle daily use?

Ugh that's the worst timing. Honestly though, that sounds like a manufacturing flaw, not just wear and tear. A good curling iron should last years even with daily use. My old Babyliss survived cosmetology school and five years on the job before the clamp got loose. Might be worth checking if yours is still under warranty.

Totally agree about the warranty check. Some brands cut corners lately and it shows. My sister had a similar issue with her flat iron after just a few months. They replaced it for free once she dug up the receipt. Definitely push back if they try to blame you for normal use.
