Port of Long Beach gave me a scare with their new load limits

I was picking up a container last Tuesday and the yard clerk flagged me for being 800 pounds over on the tag axle, said they tightened enforcement after some near miss last month. Anyone else getting hit with sudden spot checks at terminals that never used to bother?

Heard through the grapevine that they had a loader almost tip over at Pier T last month. That's probably why they're cracking down now. My buddy runs chassis out of there and said they're weighing every axle now, not just the total. Might be worth checking your pin weight before you even roll in, save yourself the hassle of getting turned around.
