Can we talk about spending $50 on a random prompt generator app?

I thought it would spark ideas when I was stuck, but it just gave me the same generic fantasy plots over and over... total waste. What's a better way to get past a creative block that actually works?

Been there, bought the t-shirt. Those apps just recycle the same tired ideas. Try changing your physical space instead. Go write in a library, a coffee shop, or even your backyard. The new sights and sounds can shake something loose in your brain when you're stuck. It's a simple trick, but it works way better than any app for me.

Ever try just talking out your story like you're telling a friend? I got unstuck last week by recording a voice memo pretending to explain my plot, and it showed me the holes right away. Sometimes you just need to hear it out loud.
