Appreciation post: I stopped using the same password for everything after my old email got hit
My old Yahoo account got broken into about six months ago because I used the same password on a sketchy forum, and it took me three days to get everything back. I started using a free password manager and making every password different, which felt like a pain at first but saved me when another site got hacked last week. Has anyone else made the switch to a password manager and found it actually stuck after a scare like that?

Honestly, my buddy had that same "sketchy forum" thing happen. Someone got into his old gaming account and started buying stuff. He had to cancel his card and everything. Tbh he fought using a manager for ages, called it a hassle. But after that mess, he downloaded one and even showed me how it makes crazy passwords for him. Now he swears by it.

Yeah, that's always how it goes. People act like a password manager is some huge burden until they're on the phone with their bank at 2 AM. Then suddenly a little app doesn't seem so bad. The hassle is dealing with fraud, not typing a master password. Your buddy learned the hard way.
