Rant: That time a Starbucks barista spotted my weak password
I was typing my email into the Starbucks wifi login at a shop near downtown Austin last Saturday... the teenager behind the counter leaned over and goes "uh, you might wanna change that password, my grandma could guess it." I was so embarrassed but he showed me how to set up a proper passphrase on my phone real quick... have any of you ever had a stranger call out your bad security habits right in public?

My dad still uses "password123" for everything and I keep telling him to change it but he won't listen. Last year he got locked out of his bank account for three days because someone guessed his login on an old forum. I tried to get him to use a password manager but he wrote all his passwords on a sticky note and stuck it to his monitor at work. His boss actually called him out in front of everyone during a meeting about data security. That barista probably saved you from something way worse down the line.

Ugh I feel your pain! What finally worked for my uncle was setting up a password manager myself and literally walking him through it step by step, then changing all his devices to autofill so he barely had to think about it. Maybe try turning his sticky note strategy into a numbered list of hints instead of full passwords, that way the real ones stay locked in the manager.
