Switched to a password manager after my email got hacked last month

I used to just use the same password for everything because it was easier. Then last month someone got into my email account from a data breach on a old forum I used. That gave them access to my Amazon, Netflix, and even my bank since I used the same login. I spent three days changing passwords and setting up two-factor authentication on every account I could think of. A friend recommended Bitwarden and I finally set it up last week. It generates random passwords for each site and I only have to remember one master password. Honestly I feel a lot safer now but I wish I had done this years ago. Has anyone else dealt with account takeover recovery and have tips for checking if your info is still out there?

Honestly yeah I used to think password managers were overkill but now I get why everyone uses em.

LastPass leaked data a few years back and that made me REAL nervous. But honestly the convenience of auto-filling passwords on my phone is too good to give up. I just switched to Bitwarden after that whole LastPass mess and it's been solid. Plus having unique passwords for every site beats using "Password123" or some variation of your pet's name.
