Unpopular opinion: password managers are overrated for most people

I used to think I was being smart by letting my browser save all my passwords. Then last month my cousin's work got hit with a ransomware attack because someone on their team reused a password across 12 sites. That got me looking at my own habits and I realized I had no idea what passwords I was even using. Has anyone else gone back to just writing them down in a notebook instead?

Have you looked into a free password manager like Bitwarden yet?

Bitwarden keeps coming up, but does it actually make things simpler or just add another step you have to click through every time you log in? I tried LastPass once and got frustrated with the browser extension glitching and not auto-filling when I needed it. The notebook never crashes or forgets my master password.
