Crossed 200 bird species on my life list, 47 was a sparrow I overlooked

I got to 199 species after 11 years of casual birding, and that last one to hit 200 wasn't some rare warbler. It was a house sparrow at a gas station in Boise. I used to skip those common birds because they felt boring, but a friend pointed out I was missing the point of counting every individual. Now I'm at 203 and I actually stop to check every flock of starlings. Anyone else hit a milestone that felt anticlimactic but still mattered?
