That neighbor told me my compost pile was too wet, and I actually thanked her
I was turning my pile behind the garage on a Tuesday morning and she said it smelled like a pond, so I added shredded cardboard and pine shavings, and by Friday the center was warm and crumbly instead of that nasty gray sludge; has anyone else had to eat crow on basic composting advice they were sure they already knew?
